Driving AC motors requires high voltages and over time this and the heat stresses components. Once repaired, the risk remains that other components might well subsequently fail. Therefore the Funk Firm will not undetake servicing considering it as poor economy.

That and the fact AC motors vibrate when compared to DC motors means that it makes better sense economically and sound-wise to upgrade to a modern DC motor based systems.

At £290 inc VAT (ex p&p) V1 is a good starter package. Note that in common with all competitors offerings, at any price, load tolerance cannot be guaranteed.

V1 power supply and motor system

Although more costly, K-Drive is a state of the art unconditionally load stable design. Not only that but it is then able to be simply modified and incorporated into the full Vectoring kit at any later stage, thereby making it much better value.

Either design is easly substituted with most of the original PT turntables – only the very earliest, pre-front motor position decks will have problems fitting these.

Little Pink Thing:

For LPT owners, we offer either the V1 or the K-Drive for DIY fitting.
The addition of the Achromat takes the upgrade for LPT as far as it can go.

The original LPT chassis was in fact very good indeed and can readily benefit from the improvements offered by K-Drive and the Achromat, when LPT will return a very fine, stable anad detailed performace.

Again prices are as above, namely:
£290 +p&p for V1 and
£655 + p&p for K-Drive.
£60 will need to be added for a 5mm Acahromat.
